Have you ever considered what the most important investment in your life truly is?

You might think, “It’s my kids” — and yes, they are invaluable. 

But imagine not being there to support them, to share their moments, to see them grow, watch your grandkids grow.

Maybe this hasn’t crossed your mind yet — I know it hadn’t crossed mine, at least not until it did. I used to think I was doing everything right, just rolling along on “healthy enough.” But then, as I looked around at friends my age (I’m 47 now) struggling with health issues, taking daily medications, or watching symptoms stack up, I started to think differently. I saw family members visiting doctors for yet another prescription, dealing with issues that could have been avoided with a few lifestyle changes. It was frustrating. This is what sparked my passion to help people get healthier, and it’s why I do what I do today.

When everything changed

Sometimes people say to me, “Cathrine, I’m fine; I don’t need to change anything.” And you know what? I was just like that too! I thought, I’m active, I eat well, I take my vitamins and fishoil — I’m set for years to come. I wasn’t doing anything “wrong,” but I was still having regular migraines, feeling low on energy, and my post-workout recovery was slower than I wanted. I brushed it off, blaming age or maybe even pushing myself too hard.

Then, one day, I met a former pro athlete and health coach. She looked at me and asked, “If you could actually see what’s happening inside your body to ensure you’re healthy for the long term, would you take a health test? And do you know if those supplements you’re taking are truly working?”

I didn’t have an answer. I realized I didn’t actually know what was going on on the inside.
